Movement has the power to transcend lines of race, class, and sexuality, to speak to our collective humanity, to heal through understanding and compassion, and to challenge us to do better and be better;
When audiences see themselves represented in movement works, they feel validated, included, and honored. Their struggles and achievements become part of a larger tapestry, and they feel empowered to tell their own stories through movement;
Artistic expression constitutes the embodiment through humanities, visual and performing arts, not of a destination but of a journey, not of answers but of questions, a continuous dialogue both interpersonal and intrapersonal in which the work lives and breathes in response both to the audience experience and to the shifting social, cultural, and political landscape in which it manifests itself.
