Black Leaves Dance Company is a New American ballet that celebrates the unsung artistry and stories of Black men the broader queer community. Through dance, education, and community collaboration, we illuminate the narratives of universal identity, resilience, and belonging—creating a space and refuge where our diverse voices are seen, heard, and uplifted by ALL through the experience of the power of movement.
OUR VISION
Black Leaves Dance Company envisions a world where dance is a space of belonging, expression, and empowerment for all. Rooted in modern and New American ballet and inspired by African, Indigenous, and urban traditions, we seek to reimagine representation within Western dance. Through artistic excellence, cultural exchange, and community engagement, we aspire to create performances that connect, heal, and inspire empathy across communities, building a more compassionate and inclusive world through movement.
